With his straight act, a youthful 'Tondulkar' has turned the tide.
It's been quite a hair-raising tale, literally! Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has maintained a style that’s minimal yet classic, always keeping the changes to the minimum.
Unlike his co-players such as M. S. Dhoni and Virat Kohli, who are constantly seen experimenting with their looks, Sachin likes to keep it subtle. A now-famous black and white portrait of the Little Master when he was barely four years old shows that the legend started early — striking a pose with a bat, his curly locks falling all around his face.
Sachin debuted in the cricketing world, sporting a dense curly bob which he later trimmed down in the late nineties. Some say the reason behind the massive bob was that the cricketer liked to keep his hair like that of the late Sathya Sai Baba, who he believed in immensely and followed religiously.
After years of keeping the toned down curly hair, Sachin cropped his hair very short and paired it with a French beard.
As his hair kept getting shorter, the curls made way for a temporary spiky hair phase. And then a drastic change occurred when he dyed his hair brown in 2011, joining the likes of cricketers Zaheer Khan and Lasith Malinga.
However, the 38-year-old cricketer recently went in for an unexpected hair makeover, looking younger and fresher than ever.
While he has always made headlines for his cricketing prowess, Sachin’s straightened hair has earned him laurels of a whole other sort. While many are shocked at this unexpected hairdo, most of his fans are tweeting positive feedback for his stylish makeover.
After years of the unruly curls beneath that helmet, Sachin’s straightened hair comes as a welcome change.
